Safety and Conduct:

  • No running on the pool deck: Walking is mandatory in the pool area. 
  • No diving in shallow areas: Diving is typically restricted to designated deep-end areas. 
  • No roughhousing or disturbances: Avoid any behaviour that could endanger others. 
  • No playing around drains and covers: Stay clear of these areas for safety reasons. 
  • No swimming alone: Always have a buddy or adult supervision. 
  • No socializing with active duty Coaches: Respect their duties and focus on the safety of the pool. 
  • No amplified music: Use headphones or keep music volume low. 
  • No abusive or profane language: Maintain a respectful environment.

Hygiene:

Showers before entering the pool: Ensure cleanliness before entering the water. 

No urinating or expectorating in the pool: Maintain a clean environment. 

  • Babies in diapers or pull-ups are not allowed in the pool: Children must be toilet-trained. 
  • No smoking on the pool deck:This includes the stands, ablutions – the entire pool precinct.
  • No chewing gum in the pool area:

Transgressors could be ejected from the Pool Precinct for the duration of the session.

Repeat transgressors will be dealt with in terms of NSSS T&C:

  1. Disruptive behavior, anti-social behavior and foul language cannot and will not be tolerated: persistent transgressors will be subject to one written warning. Should there be further transgression, the individual will be required to leave the squad immediately.
